We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Equine Veterinarian to join our team at Uxbridge Equine Veterinary Services. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our equine patients.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

As an Equine Veterinarian at Uxbridge Equine Veterinary Services, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of horses and develop your skills in advanced surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging, and medical treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat various equine health conditions, including laminitis, colic, and musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Perform routine vaccinations, dental care, and hoof trimming.
  • Collaborate with our team to provide exceptional client service and ensure seamless communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the province of Ontario.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Equine Veterinarian, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and support staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
