Job Title: Switch Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Switch Firmware Engineer to join our Firmware Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing PCIe switch firmware for our next-generation server and storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and maintain PCIe Switch firmware for servers.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PCIe switch firmware with system software and hardware.
  3. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of firmware to ensure high-quality and reliable solutions.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in UEFI firmware, GPU technologies, and accelerators.
  5. Contribute to the improvement of our firmware development processes and tools.

Requirements:

  1. BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  2. 6 years' minimum experience in Embedded Firmware/Software Development.
  3. Knowledge of Network topologies.
  4. Experience with the PCIe architecture, testing, and integration.
  5. Experience with firmware programming and debugging.
  6. Previous experience with hardware and firmware bringup.
  7. Proficient with Git source version control system.
  8. Proficient with Build and Automation process.
  9. Bash scripting capability.
  10. Experience with translating schematics to source code.
  11. Experience integrating source code from external vendors.
  12. At least 1 year experience with armcc DS-5 or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. At least 2 years experience with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) or BIOS.
  2. At least 2 years experience with x86 and ARM processors.
  3. Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  4. Experience with OpenEDK.
  5. Intimate knowledge of software development processes expected.
  6. Knowledgeable of Agile methodologies and tools.
  7. Strong analytical and debug methodology skills expected.
  8. Proficient at recognizing complex problems related to functional objectives.
  9. Applies creativity and judgment to developmental work on different projects within the business environment.
  10. Analyzes situations and implements solutions, or develops new system elements, procedures, or processes.
