About the Role

As a Senior Financial Analyst with CT Real Estate, you will play a key part in supporting the budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of Canadian Tire's real estate operating expenses.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal stakeholders, including corporate planning, accounting, ESG, real estate, and other FP&A teams.
  • Produce insightful and meaningful commentary and reporting to aid financial and non-financial stakeholders in decision-making.
  • Update and maintain the real estate decarbonization model to track progress towards CTC's 2030 GHG target.
  • Prepare forward-looking annual budgets and mid-year forecasts for various OPEX line items, leveraging historical trends and key assumptions.
  • Identify efficiencies and streamline planning and reporting processes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned, including mentoring junior financial analysts.
Requirements:
  • A university degree in Accounting/Finance or a business-related discipline, along with a Professional Accounting designation/MBA or working towards one (CPA-CMA, CA, CGA).
  • At least 3 years of experience in an FP&A or related role, preferably in a corporate or retail environment.
  • Intrinsic motivation and self-starter attitude with ability to thrive in a changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and team player mentality.
  • Critical thinking skills with a desire to challenge the status quo and provide actionable insights.
  • Expert working knowledge of Excel, advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, and experience with Hyperion Financial Management and PeopleSoft.
