At Jungle Jim's Restaurant, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Restaurant Kitchen Team Leader to join our team. This is a permanent position working 35-40 hours per week with the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for leading a team of kitchen staff and ensuring that all food prepared meets high quality standards. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills and be able to train and develop their team members.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of kitchen staff, including portioning food and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by inspecting kitchens and food service areas regularly.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, including preparing and submitting reports.
  • Establish work schedules and supervise assembly of trays, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to train and develop team members.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality control procedures.

Salary:

The salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
