About the Role

Lafarge Precast division is seeking a skilled Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate must be safety-conscious and quality-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect formwork and rebar for quality and compliance
  • Direct placement of concrete into forms and surfaces
  • Apply sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
  • Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete
  • Assist other carpenters with the assembly of the framework
  • Prepare layouts of forms from drawings provided
  • Measure, cut, and assemble in accordance with specifications
  • Capable of using various power tools, including hand saws and table saws

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Trade registered in carpentry (an asset)

Preferred Experience

  • Concrete Form Setter experience
  • Experience working in a production line setting
  • CSTS-09 or other safety certificates (an asset)
