Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Cpus Engineering Staffing Solutions Inc. as a key member of our Plant Design and Modifications group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical evaluation, considerations, and proposals for a number of major work areas in our client's nuclear facility. This will involve maintaining instructions and procedures up to date, preparing reports, and reviewing proposals from external organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical evaluation, considerations, and proposals for major work areas in the nuclear facility.
  • Maintain instructions and procedures up to date.
  • Prepare reports and review proposals from external organizations.
  • Carry out structural calculations and perform plant walkdowns.
  • Work as a part of Plant Design Pickering providing structural design support to modifications.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer with PEO and having 10 years of related experience.
  • Degree in Structural Engineering to Canadian University Standards.
  • Proficiency with Steel/ Aluminum/ Concrete structure design and analysis and use of structural engineering software preferably STAADPRO.
  • Good command in using Microsoft Office and Adobe is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Preferred: Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
