The Opportunity

Therapeutic Recreation Role

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist Assistant to join our team at Shepherd's Care Foundation. As a Recreation Therapist Assistant, you will contribute to planning, implementing, and evaluating recreation therapy programs to meet the needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents in achieving their goals and interventions through recreation therapy programs
  • Organize program content and document resident attendance and response
  • Ensure all activities are consistent with our policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation (Gerontology) from a recognized educational institution or equivalent education in a related field
  • Minimum of one year combined experience working with elderly with dementia in a supportive setting
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
