Welder Job Opportunity at John Ross & Sons Ltd.

We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Welder to join our team in Goodwood, NS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating semi-automatic welding equipment to weld metal segments using various processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate semi-automatic welding equipment to weld metal segments using processes such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), pre-heating, tack welding, and flame cutting
  • Torch cutting and welding, fabrication, and repair of various equipment
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to the proper manager
  • Maintain a clean work environment

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills
  • Completion of college/technical training or a combination of training and experience
  • Safety-minded and 3+ years of experience

Please note that reliable transportation to and from work is required.

Rate of Pay: To be negotiated, depending on experience.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 6:30am-5:30pm; Saturday 7am-12pm (can be discussed). Overtime as required.
