Electronics Maintenance Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Engineer II to join our team in the Kingston/Ottawa area. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to take on a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and exceptional communication skills.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to customers across the region. This includes completing annual and system inspections, performing installations, verifications, testing, inspections, and repairs on fire alarm systems, as well as equipment installation and panel programming as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete annual and system inspections to ensure optimal system operation
- Perform installations, verifications, testing, inspections, and repairs on fire alarm systems
- Equipment installation and panel programming as needed
- Complete verification and system readings to ensure optimal system operation
- Submit written service reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity
- Participate in Installation to Service handovers on assigned jobs
- Work towards project schedules and maintain regular communication on project status and execution
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites
- Update site databases to keep records current
- Make recommendations for improvement or system change
- Work closely with other teams to maintain customer satisfaction and quality assurance procedures
- Adhere to Health and Safety at Work Act at all times
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum College Education in Electronics and a minimum 2+ years' experience in service and maintenance of fire alarm systems. You should also have valid CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) certification, proven diagnostic skills, knowledge of IP Networks, C-Cure systems, and MS-Office, and good understanding of Building and Fire codes. A valid driver's license in good standing is also required.
