Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician

Fire Safety and Protection LLC (FSP) is a leading provider of fire alarm and security systems solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm and security systems for our clients. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, and service fire alarm and security systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet client requirements.
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
  • Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
  • Follow local and national security standards.
Requirements
  • CFAA License
  • Ability and desire to learn all facets of the Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician role.
  • Prior experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems preferred.
  • Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Customer-oriented mentality.
  • Ability to work within the territory and surrounding areas.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, stand prolonged periods of time, lift 35 lbs, and other requirements common to a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Differentiate color coding of cables.
