Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician
At Fire Safety and Protection, we are committed to protecting communities by installing, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm, sprinkler, and safety systems. As a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our clients' assets.
Responsibilities:
- Test, inspect, verify, and service fire alarm systems and devices.
- Install, inspect, and repair fire alarm and security systems.
- Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
- Follow local and national security standards.
Requirements:
- CFAA License
- Ability and desire to learn all facets of the Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician role.
- Prior experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems preferred.
- Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Customer-oriented mentality.
- Ability to work within the territory and surrounding areas.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, standing for prolonged periods, lifting 35 lbs, and other requirements common to a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
- Overnight travel may be required.
- Differentiate color coding of cables.
