Job Title: Financial Planner in Training

Join National Bank as a Financial Planner in Training and embark on a rewarding career in financial planning. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and develop personalized plans to achieve them.

Your Role:
  • Identify clients' investment and financing needs to create tailored financial plans
  • Provide expert advice on investment and financing options to clients
  • Develop business relationships and leadership skills while making a positive impact
  • Ensure compliance with operational quality standards and risk management rules
  • Be mobile in the greater Quebec City area to serve clients effectively
Your Team:

You will report to the Associate Vice-President, Investment, and work closely with a Financial Planner Director who will support and coach you in your new role.

Your Training:

Your training will last between 3 and 6 months, depending on your experience, and will be a combination of theoretical and practical learning.

You will work with a diverse team of colleagues with different expertise, experiences, and profiles, which will enrich your development as a Financial Planner.

After completing your training, you will be assigned a branch and client portfolio, and will have the opportunity to work independently in the Quebec City area.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent recognized by the IQPF
  • Diploma from the Institut Québécois de Planification Financière (IQPF) or be on track to obtain it within 12 months
  • Mutual fund representative (MFR) licence
  • Experience in portfolio management with business development objectives
  • Business development experience in the financial advisory services field
Language:

English and French are the primary languages required for this role, as you will need to serve clients who speak a language other than French regularly.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess strong business development, client education, and client engagement skills, as well as the ability to drive results, work in a team, and communicate effectively.
