IT Audit Leader for Global Insurer

Established 100+ years ago, this global insurer seeks an IT Senior or Lead Internal Auditor to join their US Audit Hub. This hybrid remote position requires 2 days on-site in Princeton, NJ, and 3 days remote.

As a trusted advisor, the Lead or Senior IT Auditor will build relationships and provide independent, value-added internal audit services. They will provide reasonable assurance regarding the effectiveness of governance, compliance, risk management, and internal controls systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all phases of assigned projects from planning to reporting, including understanding technologies, scoping audits, identifying risks and controls, and writing reports.
  • Apply project management skills to ensure assigned audits meet department requirements, setting engagement milestones and ensuring work is completed on time.
  • Effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to Operational and IT management, making sound recommendations and supporting conclusions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis concepts and practices, using the department's data analysis software to facilitate audit scoping and testing.
Qualifications:
  • Sound knowledge of core IT processes, including application development, change management, logical and information security, and business continuity.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, business, or finance, with relevant technology experience and insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Five to seven years of IT audit or information technology experience, with demonstrated IT subject matter expertise and strong knowledge of IT auditing standards and control frameworks.
  • CISA and/or CISSP Certification is required for those with an audit background, with other technical/IT security certifications a plus.
