About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Team Lead to join our Personal Lines team at Navacord. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of your team, coordinating activities with other team leaders, and ensuring goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Performance Management: Identify strengths and developmental needs of team members through active monitoring and coaching sessions to assist brokers in reaching their full potential.
  • Technical Resource: Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable systems and internal workflows to provide technical support to the team.
  • Escalation Management: Handle and document the outcome of escalations and use the situation as a developmental and coaching opportunity.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning to attain goals and objectives of the brokerage.
  • Staff Scheduling and Time Management: Assist with staff scheduling and time management system to ensure internal brokerage and client expectations and policies are met.
  • Team Building: Participate in extracurricular team building activities which may occur outside of office hours.
  • Compliance: Comply with both regulatory and internal guidelines.
Requirements
  • RIBO License: RIBO license required, CSIP or equivalent designation an asset.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Insurance Management Experience: Insurance management or senior broker/peer coach experience an asset.
  • Leadership and Delegation: Ability to work independently and as a team, always leading by example, and delegate as necessary to complete goals in a timely manner.
  • Professional Demeanor and Appearance: Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and BMS.
