Position Overview:

We are in search of a Commercial Surety Financial Analyst to join our expanding team.

  • Oversee a portfolio of commercial surety accounts
  • Evaluate and authorize surety applications following established guidelines
  • Draft documentation and provide recommendations for major projects
  • Conduct annual assessments, risk evaluations, and financial updates to determine surety limits
  • Establish relationships with brokers and clients, and engage in industry events
  • Negotiate account terms and conditions
  • Collaborate with the claims department on beneficiary claims
  • Contribute to special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance
  • At least 3 years of experience in surety, accounting, business administration, or finance
  • Professional certification (CPA, CGA, CMA) or CFA is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Familiarity with the surety sector is beneficial
  • Ability to cultivate robust business relationships
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and solution-driven
  • Team-oriented with excellent organizational skills and initiative
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English
  • Authorization to work in Canada is required
