Catering Service Job Summary

The Catering Service Worker is responsible for the successful execution of assigned catering events, from setup to closing. This role requires adherence to company standards and providing exceptional customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide top-notch customer service to all guests.
  • Perform setup and teardown of assigned catering event spaces.
  • Conduct open and closing inventory counts, escalating any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and close off consumption reports.
  • Restock, replenish, and secure all areas related to Catering.
  • Verify all equipment and small-wares are in working order.
  • Transport all food and beverage from the Production Kitchen to designated event spaces.
  • Ensure terms of contracts are executed upon.
  • Follow timelines closely, adapting to changing conditions as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Manager.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar type operation is an asset.
  • Smart Serve certification is required.
  • Understanding and adherence to safe food handling policies, with Food Handlers Certification being an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Well-groomed and cooperative attitude.
  • Professional, focused, and high-energy demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to customer needs.
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

Location: On-site

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands to finger, and handle controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and stoop.
