**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in Cash Management roles and possess a strong understanding of financial accounting and cash flows for financial products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work with settlement teams to map source systems to ledger flows for trade bookings and failed trades.
  2. Develop reports to reconcile fails with expected settlements, in collaboration with technology and settlement teams.
  3. Analyze differences and exceptions, identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Monitor and analyze drivers of cash flows and securities available for collateral, ensuring alignment with the intraday liquidity strategy and regulatory & management liquidity metrics.
  5. Investigate and analyze differences between forecasts and actuals, providing insights for decision-making.
  6. Implement evolving local enhancement cash and intraday liquidity management processes for entities and businesses in scope.
  7. Recommend and make decisions on allocating funds between nostro accounts based on costs, liquidity ratios, and intraday liquidity strategy.
  8. Derive user requirements to drive efficiency and automation with technology teams.
  9. Represent the Cash/Intraday Liquidity Management Team on new projects and change management initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Cash Management roles.
  • 5-8 years of experience performing current state analysis on BNS' broker dealer cash management function.
  • 5-8 years of experience in gap analysis, making recommendations for future state.
  • 3-4 years of experience identifying business lines sources and uses cash within the entity.
  • 3-4 years of experience in financial accounting and cash flows for financial products.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • A strong understanding of nostros, payment flows, and accounting for cash transactions.
  • Collaboration with finance and system teams to identify system enhancements needed.
  • Reviewing FTP practices within the entity.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI.

Soft Skills Required:

  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making, forward thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.

Education:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Finance & Business, or Accounting.
  • MBA/CPA/CFA/FRM qualifications are considered assets but not required.
