Job Title: QA Analyst

Description

Create a comprehensive testing strategy and project delivery plan. Develop documentation templates (test plan, test cases, etc.) and maintain a library of common tests. Implement defined QA processes, agile methodology, and focus on manual ecommerce website testing, order flows, and automated testing. Manage system and problem analysis, and perform complex system and problem analysis associated with application development and test management functions. Participate in assessments with meeting test criteria, product releases, and software deployment readiness. Make recommendations to improve test procedures and assist with the development of test processes, methods, and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness.
  2. Participate in team retrospectives, suggesting and implementing improvements.
  3. Create test scenarios based on user stories.
  4. Participate in story pointing sessions.
  5. Ensure accurate and complete success criteria is defined for each user story.
  6. Ensure the definition of done is met.
  7. Perform backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment, including validating stored procs, jobs, and triggers.
  8. Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
  9. Identify potential quality issues per defined process and escalate to management.
  10. Ensure validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  11. Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
  12. Experience using JIRA and Zephyr Squad.

Requirements

  • College diploma or University degree in a quantitative field.
  • 5+ years software testing and support experience.
  • Good Retail Domain, Agile, and Testing skills.
  • Good understanding of ERP Finance and Supply chain flows.
  • Familiar with business applications supporting capabilities like Inventory Replenishment, Assortment planning, etc.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Well-versed with all QA processes.
  • Good ecommerce experience with payments, order flows, etc.

  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
  • Follow and align processes with the System Development Lifecycle processes, policies, and standards.
  • Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports.
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to understand requirements documentation, functional specifications, high-level design documentation, and system documentation.
  • Flexibility to change priorities quickly and have a capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
