Job Summary

KAL childcare is seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Support Worker to provide high-quality care for children in a home-based setting.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver exceptional childcare services. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized living space.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to meet the dietary needs of children.
  • Cook healthy meals that cater to various tastes and preferences.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Launder clothing and household linens to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Feed or assist in feeding children according to their needs.
Requirements
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, and bending
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
