Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting month-end reporting, financial statement preparation, and operational reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full cycle accounting, including reviewing tasks completed by junior staff
  • Month-end closing functions, including posting journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Preparing working papers and schedules for prepaid accounts and reclassifications
  • Preparing consolidated reports at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end
  • Assisting the Controller with preparing and delivering financial statements
  • Setting up projects within the ERP system and extracting information and reports
  • Processing intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and adjustment entries
  • Liaising with auditors and providing documentation and information
  • Financial and costing analysis on financial results and variance analysis against budget/standards
  • Preparing reports for the operations and finance team
Requirements
  • 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in a similar position, working in a senior capacity
  • Accounting education is required; CPA enrollment or designation is considered an asset
  • Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills are required
  • Previous experience with costing, inventory, IFRS, and/or US GAAP is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required
  • Technical skills and ability to manipulate data to create financial reports
