About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Textile Grader to join our team at J & A INTERNATIONAL INC. As a Textile Grader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Grade Textiles: Examine fabric or products for conformity to quality standards, inspect and grade hides, pelts or leather, and inspect finished and pre-finished products.
  • Identify and Record Defects: Mark defects and record information on products inspected or graded.
  • Prepare and Package Products: Package products and prepare samples for quality control purposes.
  • Sort and Organize Products: Sort products by style, colour, size, length or other criteria.
  • Trim and Repair Products: Trim excess material, remove spots and lint, and repair minor defects.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Dusty and noisy work site environment.
  • Work Setting: Clothing/textile manufacturing company.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
