Job Title: Residential Counsellor - Overnight Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Counsellor to join our team at Broadview Village, a leading provider of support services for adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide overnight support to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being, while also promoting independence and community integration. This is a part-time position, working 32 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to meet program needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to residents, including personal care, hygiene, and advocacy.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans, in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications, as required, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services.
Requirements:
  • Completed 2-3 year Developmental Services Worker Diploma or equivalent degree/diploma in human services.
  • Valid Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Level C Certificate.
  • Ability to achieve Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certificate.
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and satisfactory driver's abstract.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
  • Experience with writing, implementing, and updating individual support plans.
