Cambridge Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our critical care team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to create healthier communities.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate and maintain adult, pediatric, and neonatal mechanical ventilation, including conventional and non-invasive modes.
- Collect arterial blood gases and perform radial arterial line insertions.
- Assist with bronchoscopy procedures and transport patients to tertiary care centers.
- Participate in cardiac arrest teams and provide support to the operating room through anaesthetic gas machine checks.
- Perform ECGs and contribute to ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Member in good standing of the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
- Current membership in good standing with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists and Respiratory Therapy Society of Ontario.
- Current BCLS certificate required.
- Current experience in critical and acute care hospital environments.
- Current experience with infant support required.
- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) training required.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload and meet requirements.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis.
