Job Title: Truck Driver-Supervisor

DBG Trucking is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver-Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of truck drivers, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of truck drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and control the movement of trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and equipment to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of logistics operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to new drivers and staff members to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of driver performance, vehicle maintenance, and logistics operations.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role in the transportation industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
Work Environment:

As a Truck Driver-Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent interactions with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders. You will be required to work a standard 30-hour workweek, with occasional overtime as needed.
