Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tactical Security Officer to join our team at GardaWorld. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Assess Situations: Regularly observe the bank environment, including customer behavior and staff interactions, to identify potential risks or conflicts before they escalate.
  • Engage with Customers and Staff: Approach individuals or groups in a non-threatening manner if suspicious behavior is detected or if conflicts arise.
  • Implement De-escalation Techniques: Utilize strategies such as maintaining a calm and composed demeanor, using non-confrontational language, and showing empathy to diffuse tense situations.
  • Provide Clear Communication: Clearly explain bank policies or procedures to customers or individuals involved in a dispute.
  • Coordinate with Bank Personnel: Work closely with bank staff to ensure they are aware of any potential threats and assist them in managing difficult situations.
  • Handle Disruptive Behavior: Address and manage disruptive or aggressive behavior calmly, using techniques that minimize the risk of escalation or violence.
  • Assist in Emergency Situations: In the event of an emergency, such as a robbery or a medical issue, follow established protocols to ensure safety while still aiming to de-escalate the situation when possible.
  • Document Incidents: Keep detailed records of any incidents or interactions that required intervention, including actions taken and outcomes, to assist in future investigations or reporting.
  • Maintain Professionalism
Requirements
  • A valid security guard license and first aid card
  • A clear criminal background
  • Eligibility to work in Canada
  • Report writing skills
  • Access to a personal vehicle
