Chef Job Description

Lina's Italian Market Hall is seeking a skilled Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours per week
Work Environment:

Lina's Italian Market Hall is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work under pressure. As a Chef, you will be expected to maintain a high level of organization and efficiency in the kitchen, while also ensuring the quality and safety of our food products.
