Salary:

The salary range for this position starts at approximately $100,000 CAD per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in establishing and facilitating best practices to achieve economies of scale in procurement operations. This involves negotiating pricing, supplier contracts, and service level agreements to ensure the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, processing purchase orders, and coordinating delivery of materials and equipment. They will also review Bill of Materials with management to determine major buy-outs and subcontracts versus field order/release items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate pricing, supplier contracts, and service level agreements
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Process purchase orders, requisitions, and other purchasing documents
  • Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment
  • Review Bill of Materials with management
  • Develop Project Procurement Plan

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Purchasing concentration or relevant education and/or experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience in the electrical industry is necessary.

You should have thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials, as well as demonstrated accomplishments in handling diverse and complex sourcing transactions, negotiations, and contractual responsibilities.
