About the Job
This Field Welder position involves providing on-site repairs and maintenance on waste compactors and balers.
As a Field Welder, you will work from a company repair truck and be dispatched to customer sites to perform welding repairs.
You will interact with client users, operators, and employees to deliver a successful service visit.
A Day in the Life
- Perform welding repairs to recycling containers/recycling equipment/grates/railings.
- Evaluate repairs at site, using cutting torches and welder to perform various repairs.
- Use various hand and power tools.
- Prepare and submit Service Orders with clear communication, verbal and written.
Work Environment
While performing duties of this job, a technician would be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel.
Must be able to drive safely for periods of up to 2 to 3 hours at a time to reach job destinations.
Must be able to have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required on the job.
