Accounting and Financial Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Financial Manager to join our team at Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-vous. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Oversee the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accounting Operations: Manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure their growth and success.
Requirements:
  • Education: University or college degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to drive business results and improve processes.
  • Certifications: Certified public accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent.
