Job Title: Construction Contracts Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our Contracts Team in the Stoney Creek office. The ideal candidate will ensure that our contractual obligations are equitable, fall within our risk tolerances, and accurately reflect the scope of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate contracts to ensure fair and favorable terms.
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Establish connections between scope of work, contract terms, and overall execution of job responsibilities.
  • Facilitate legal discussions on unresolved contractual issues.
  • Stay current with relevant laws and regulations changes that may impact previously agreed terms and future contracts.

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience in contracts management or strong knowledge of contract law.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, construction, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent reading comprehension, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and French – both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Acrobat Reader, and/or Bluebeam and Navision.
