We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Brandt, a leading manufacturer and distributor of heavy equipment and machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy duty equipment in a shop and field environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose the working condition of heavy equipment, and perform repairs and maintenance as required.
- Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities.
- Test and provide feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Prepare electronic inspection and service reports.
- Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel.
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements:
- Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
- Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred.
- Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
