Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Shehnai Restaurant. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately record and classify financial transactions
    • Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
    • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Financial Analysis
    • Prepare financial reports and statements
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
    • Develop and implement financial models and forecasts
  • Payroll and Benefits
    • Process payroll and benefits for employees
    • Ensure compliance with payroll and benefits regulations
    • Prepare and submit payroll and benefits reports
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks
    • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and QuickBooks
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language
    • Fluency in English
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge
    • MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Windows
