Job Title: Educational Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to students with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with Autism, Developmental Disabilities, and Medical Needs.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as toileting and personal care.
  • Support students with Behaviour Management Systems and Crisis Intervention training.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
  • Training in Behaviour Management Systems and Crisis Intervention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
