  • Plan, manage, and prioritize workload to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
  • Travel to assignments, incidents, and training within the province
  • Be prepared for on-call and callout duties with compensation
  • Communicate effectively with victims, witnesses, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and prosecution files
  • Deliver court testimony and provide expert evidence
  • Manage and escort prisoners
  • Work shiftwork, weekends, and statutory holidays

Requirements

  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Have a High School diploma or GED
  • Post-secondary education is an asset
  • Have completed and passed full basic police recruit training with a recognized police service in Canada
  • Be a current, sworn police constable in good standing with a recognized Canadian federal, provincial, municipal, or First Nations police service
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Justice System
  • Knowledge of enforcement under Provincial Statutes
  • Community involvement is an asset
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Pass a fitness test (PARE, POPAT, or PREP)
  • Hold a valid driver's license for the province
  • Be qualified in First Aid, CPR, and AED
  • Meet CPKC Police Firearms and Use of Force Standards
  • Pass a psychological evaluation
  • Pass a polygraph exam
  • Have no McNeil decisions on personnel file
