Job Title: CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Velocity Machining & Welding Inc. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer-controlled machine tools to manufacture precision parts and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet quality and production standards.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances to ensure quality control.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Requirements:
  • Machinist Trade Certification.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
