About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Velocity Machining & Welding Inc. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision parts and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools to meet quality and productivity standards
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision parts and components
Requirements
  • Machinist Trade Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in CNC machining
  • Excellent understanding of precision measuring instruments and machine tools
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
