Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Capital Foodservice Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Logistics and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate trip reports.
  • Transportation of Hazardous Goods: Safely transport and handle dangerous goods in accordance with regulations.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Documentation and Knowledge: Be familiar with driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
  • Transportation Experience: Have experience with local, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul transportation.
  • Security and Safety: Possess a basic security clearance, be bondable, and have a clean driving record.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts and be away from home for extended periods.
