The District of Saanich is seeking a highly skilled and organized Planning Clerk to join our Planning Department. As a Planning Clerk, you will provide administrative support and customer service to various sections of the department.

About the Position

This full-time, temporary position requires a high level of multitasking and organizational skills. You will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks, including word processing, data entry, and filing. Additionally, you will provide customer service to the public, answering questions and providing information about department regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Planning Department, including word processing, data entry, and filing.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about department regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Process applications and enter cases into the system.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent plus a certificate in office or business administration.
  • Experience or training in standard computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, and internet.
  • Experience with databases and one year of office experience in a Planning Department environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
