Job Summary

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mathematics Educator to join our team as a Part-Time Senior Level Teacher-Tutor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Mathematics and be comfortable teaching students in Grades 11-12 at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade or equivalent level
  • Strong English and French written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Work Schedule
  • Evenings 3pm - 9pm
  • Monday and Tuesday MANDATORY, Wednesday to Friday an asset
  • Saturday possibility
