Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Management Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading and executing internal audits, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Audit Planning and Execution
  • Conduct and lead complex projects in governance, compliance, financial management, special investigations, and risk assessment.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders throughout the audit process.
  • Draft well-articulated audit reports for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team.
  1. Relationship Management
  • Handle escalated questions or concerns from stakeholders with the Internal Audit Manager.
  • Proactively engage the Internal Audit Manager on assignment progress.
  1. Communication
  • Engage multiple stakeholder groups across the organization to solicit cooperation.
  • Lead meetings and communicate complex messages to various stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. Fully qualified member in good standing with CPA Canada.
  2. CIA designation is preferred.
  3. Completion of a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, health administration, or a recognized equivalent.
  4. A minimum of 5-6 years of audit experience in a complex environment.
  5. Extensive experience in auditing, business risk management, internal controls, and governance in complex environments.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on location and industry standards in the GTA, Ontario.
