Housekeeping Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Northwood Plaza Hotel and Banquet Room. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel and banquet rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
- Housekeeping: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators.
- Guest Services: Handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris, and empty trash containers.
- Laundry and Linen: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Support for Guests: Clean changing rooms and showers, address customers' complaints or concerns.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Support for Persons with Disabilities: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Youth: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offers on-the-job training tailored to youth, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities, applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
