Senior Survey Construction Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Survey Construction Manager to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure group, you will be responsible for leading construction layout and engineering survey services on various projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct topographic surveys, engineering surveys, and as-built surveys.
- Oversee building and structural layout, structural quality control surveys, earthwork surveys, and earth volume and cut-fill management surveys.
- Collect field data using various survey instruments.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of field notes and daily downloads.
- Assist with unplanned or unexpected discoveries and complete tasks ad-hoc while maintaining documentation and follow-through.
- Take accurate and clear field notes, and perform rapid calculations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in surveys, including at least 2 years in construction surveying.
- Experience with operating robotic total stations, Windows-based data collectors, GNSS technology, and other data collection technologies.
- Knowledge of municipal engineering and land development projects is an asset.
- Familiarity with sewer, water main, dirt survey, earthworks, and road construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Able to transport and carry up to 50 lbs. of field gear and navigate terrain on in-progress build sites.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
