About the Job:

  • This is a unique opportunity to join a diverse team that specializes in buildings, civil infrastructure, water, industrial, and rail projects.
  • You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing Graham Construction projects from the earliest stages in its life cycle.
  • This includes managing site staffing, quality control, sub-trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control, and safety.
  • As a Senior Construction Manager, you will also determine the method of construction, materials quantities, equipment, work schedule, and documentation of hours worked.
  • Your expertise will be essential in coordinating assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, and subcontractors.
  • You will maintain relationships with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • A strong focus on safety will be required, ensuring compliance with company and site safety programs and documents.
  • You will take an active role in hiring, training, and monitoring field personnel.
  • Assisting with preparation and facilitation of project meetings will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction, with at least 6 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proficiency in structural concrete & steel, earthworks, roadworks, foundations, and deep installations.
  • A proven track record of managing projects valued between $25M - 50M.
  • The ability to lead mid-sized to large teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with the impact of change on cost and schedule.
  • A forward-thinking approach, with the ability to look ahead a year or more in planning work.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction engineering and design.
  • Experience with standard construction software and management processes.
