Cloud Native Technical Lead for 5G RAN Software Development

About this Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary Technical Driver to lead our efforts in designing and delivering cutting-edge 5G RAN features on Cloud Platform.

This role involves:

  • Accountability for timely delivery as per project plans
  • Resource and time planning for defined project scope
  • Effective management of scope churn and priority changes
  • Defining project scope in detail and taking total responsibility of delivery
  • Sherlocking development of functionality and test coverage for epics
  • Driving all aspects of E2E product development flow with the program (systemization, development, test automation, release, maintenance)
  • Ensuring effective risk management and reporting
  • Continuously identifying and driving efficiency and quality improvements

You will work closely with OPOs, program managers, and functional units within EU Cloud RAN and other parts of Ericsson. A creative, collaborative, and innovative mindset is crucial for success.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be a proven leader with a vision and a can-do attitude to make things happen
  • Have a proven track record of achieving delivery timelines and leading others to deliver on their accountabilities, while balancing cost, time to market, and quality
  • Have relevant technical knowledge to lead the domain and build trust to drive it in a good direction
  • Have passion for identifying new ways of working (Lean, Agile & Beyond), organizing, and driving R&D efficiency
  • Look for ways to do things differently, but not forgetting the strength of Ericsson
  • Drive and embrace innovation and change with a collaborative mindset
  • Knowledge about cloud-native development and ability to interact with multiple interfaces and stakeholders

A minimum of 5 years' experience in software development and a degree/post-graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required. Domain experience in software engineering practices, RAN knowledge, Project Management, Operations, and Cloud Native Competence is highly valued. You will also have a minimum of 3 years' experience in driving feature or product development.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
