Job Title: Distribution Centre Receiver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Distribution Centre Receiver to join our team at Longo's. As a key member of our receiving team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products throughout our distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble products and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
  • Verify the type, quality, and quantity of products received
  • Unload, receive, check, and store products throughout the distribution centre
  • Load and unload goods onto and off of trucks
  • Operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to transport and store products
  • Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Report quality variances to Supervisor upon discovery
  • Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as required
  • Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the building

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Computer skills
  • Certified Forklift and Walkie Operator
  • 1-2 years receiving experience
  • Previous Distribution Centre or store produce department experience an asset
  • Experience with a power jack and power stacker an asset
  • Availability to work 5 days per week, including weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs.
  • Must have own transportation - public transportation is NOT available to the work location during working hours
