We are seeking a Physiotherapy Support Specialist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with residents in Long Term Care facilities to implement treatment programs and achieve their goals.

Job Summary

This is a temporary opportunity to provide high-quality support to our physiotherapy team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and is committed to excellence in all aspects of their work.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, supervisors, and teammates. They will also possess excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with conducting group exercises for residents and lead one-on-one exercises as directed by the physiotherapist.
  • Encourage residents to reach the goals of their planned treatment programs if appropriate.
  • Document treatments and residents' progress after each therapy session as per the physiotherapist's instructions.
  • Assist residents with walking, sitting, and safe transferring.
  • Monitor any changes to a resident's health status and report to the physiotherapist or supervisor.
  • Perform treatments such as applying an ice pack or hot pack, ultrasound therapy, TENS (electrotherapy), hot wax, etc.
Requirements
  • Must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates.
  • Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home would be a definite asset.
  • Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required.
  • Valid 2 STEP TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray is required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle with Valid Drivers License preferred.
  • Residency in Tilbury/Chatham-Kent area is mandatory.

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This is a full-time opportunity with a schedule of approximately 37.5 hours per week.
