Porter - BC Children's Hospital

We are seeking a skilled Porter to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth transportation of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients to and from various locations within the hospital, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Operate mechanical aids such as stretchers, wheelchairs, and mobilizers to facilitate patient movement.
- Assist patients with mobilization, using safe lifting techniques and equipment as needed.
- Transport deceased patients to the morgue, following established procedures and protocols.
- Retrieve, deliver, and clean equipment from the Medical Equipment Depot, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting any issues to maintenance personnel.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Completion of Grade 12
- One (1) year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
