Job Title: Master Woodworker

We are seeking a skilled Master Woodworker to join our team at Skona Design Inc.

Job Summary:

The Master Woodworker will be responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as scheduling and coordinating work on sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites.
  • Instructing apprentices and supervising other workers.
  • Estimating costs and materials.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in the trade.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 35 hours per week.
Work Environment:

The Master Woodworker will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, mills, and industrial plants. The work environment will be noisy and dusty, and the candidate must be willing to relocate.
