Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail store, ensuring exceptional customer service and maximizing sales volumes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning tasks, and hiring/training employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Manage and motivate a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Task Assignment: Effectively allocate duties among sales workers, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting deadlines.
  • Hiring and Training: Recruit and train new staff members or arrange for their training, focusing on developing strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque, order merchandise, and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and requests promptly, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Inventory Control: Organize and maintain accurate inventory records, preventing stock discrepancies and optimizing storage space.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of retail management experience is necessary.
  • Language: English language proficiency is essential, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Skillset: Strong leadership and organizational skills, combined with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, frequent customer interactions, and standing for extended periods.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as additional benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.
