Chief Risk Officer

Fidelity Canada is seeking a seasoned risk management professional to lead our risk function and provide strategic direction for the organization.
Job Summary:The Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our risk management framework, ensuring it meets business and regulatory expectations. This role will also involve leading the management of significant risk issues, developing regular reporting, and presenting to senior management and the audit committee.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the strategic oversight of our risk framework to ensure its continued development and success.
- Manage significant risk issues, including assessment, root cause analysis, communication, and review of remediation actions.
- Develop and present regular reporting to senior management and the audit committee on the status of our risk programs.
- Participate in cross-Fidelity projects to ensure operational risks are properly assessed.
- Communicate new risk programs and initiatives effectively across the organization and provide training as required.
- University degree or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in risk management and risk programs.
- Prior experience in a compliance and back-office operations role.
- 10+ years of experience at the management level.
- Professional designation or certificate in risk management or internal control.
